Couple’s perfect 10 after weight loss crusade

A Crowland couple are celebrating having lost a combined almost ten stone in the last 18 months.

Craig and Helen Walton, who have been married for nearly 20 years, say they’ve now become activity junkies as a result of shedding the pounds.

The pair attend the Saturday morning Weight Watchers group at The Umbrella in Spalding, Helen having first joined in January 2017 weighing 15st 9lbs.

Now the nurse at Peterborough City Hospital has gone from a size 22 to a size 12 and weighs 10st 9lbs.

Craig joined five months later after he was unable to go on a ride at Alton Towers due to his weight.

The science teacher at The Deepings School has gone from 17st 5lb to 12st 9lb and regularly cycles 100 miles every weekend.

Craig said: “We just feel brilliant and have got lots of energy.”
