Couple pick up keys to raffle prize

A Spalding couple are “chuffed and delighted” after scooping the top prize of a car in a raffle.
Joss Slater, of Spalding, bought just one ticket – but it was a lucky one – in the raffle in aid of the League of Friends of the Johnson Community Hospital.
The Hyundai 10 car was offered as the top prize by EMG Spalding.
Paul Watkins-Groves, of EMG, said he was pleased the car had gone to a local winner and helped raise £700 for the local charity.
Joss’s wife Christine, who bought several tickets for the raffle, said she thought it was a hoax when she received the call to say Joss had won the car.
“This sort of thing doesn’t happen to people like us very often, so we are really delighted.”
