County police recruiting Spalding cadets

Lincolnshire police is recruiting cadets from the Spalding area.

The force’s programme for volunteers aged 13 to 18, includes a whole range of aspects of policing such as learning about the law and how laws are applied, powers of arrest, the police caution and the criminal justice system.

Cadets come from all backgrounds and will have the chance to help local policing teams tackle local crime problems. Members also represent the force at community events.

At the age of 16 and after passing relevant sections, cadets also have the chance to go on patrol with selected officers.

“We place our cadets at the heart of promoting community safety by making a positive contribution to society. We will help you develop a sense of social responsibility and act as a role model to others,” said a spokesman.
