Council’s land disposal

South Holland District Council is looking to offload parcels of land it no longer wants responsibility for.

Among the transfer or ownership are two play areas in Sutton Bridge, King Street and Lime Street.

Each transfer is to the parish council and has a £1 charge per freehold. The land also comes with restrictive covenants to ensure ‘they remain as a designated public green and pen space.’

“Given the appetite of the parish council voting unanimously,” says the document on the district council’s website.

Objections must be made in writing by noon on Friday (September 5).

Another 12 parcels of land, including garage sites in Long Sutton, Donington and Spalding, are to be ‘disposed of’.

The ‘old swimming pool site’ on Spalding’s Pinchbeck Road, Land at Park Lane, Long Sutton and ‘Shed 5’ at Kings Road Spalding are included in the bundle.

Objections to the potential disposal should again be submitted by noon on Friday.
