Council refuse collection suspended again today

South Holland District Council have again suspended its refuse and recycling collection today (Thursday March 1).

Due to lorries struggling to navigate icy roads, the collections were suspended yesterday.

The suspension has been extended to today with no confirmation yet as to whether tomorrow’s will go ahead.

Residents have again been asked not to leave their rubbish out in the streets.

Coun Roger Gambba-Jones tweeted this morning: “All waste/recycling collections suspended today due to minor estate roads being unsafe for vehicles and for our collection teams to operate on.

“Thanks to everybody for your understanding. Please retain your refuse/recycling at your property until next week’s collections.”
