Corcoran finishes series with another first place

Anglers were greeted with a very low running River Glen for the last match in this successful Winter Series.
The river fished exceptionally well with five double figure catches.
Leading the way once again with his fifth win of the series was Dave Corcoran.
Dave weighed in 15lb 2oz of roach off peg ten to narrowly beat Andy Wilson on peg 11 with 14lbs 4oz of mainly roach.
Third on the day from peg 14 was Gary Boxall who had mainly perch in his 12lbs 2oz catch.
Fourth was Nick Witteman from peg 14 with 11lbs 14oz and fifth was Paul Dotchin with 11lbs 2oz.
In the league, where anglers counted their best five from seven matches, an exceptional series from Corcoran, ending with the maximum possible five points, he stormed the field.
Second in the series with 11 points, which on majority of occasions would have won the league, was Andy Wilson.
Third and last in the prize list was Colin Fisher with 18 points.
Just missing out was Mick Wright on 19 points and Steve Borrett on 22 points.
A big thank you to Alfie Kendall for pegging the matches and weighing in all matches.
Spalding Fishing Club are very pleased at this year’s increased attendances, especially in this most horrendously wet winter and our thanks go to all those who participated.
