NHS Lincolnshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is asking residents to take part in a review of fertility treatments in the county.
An ICB proposed policy outlining who can access the treatment is being put under the microscope.
The board is one of five areas in the county which provides fertility services and it is backing a move to create a policy for the whole of the East Midlands.
The review will also consider issues such as access for same sex couples, individuals with children from a previous relationship and single people. It will also see the age limit of 42 (for the woman) and under, along with a recommended Body Mass Index (BMI) of between 19 and 30.
It also suggests not funding cycles of treatment for couples where one partner has been sterilised.
“It is proposed that single women and trans men will be recognised as requiring fertility support and get a referral for fertility treatment if they meet all other criteria.
“The ICB will be listening to people in Lincolnshire throughout November and December to give individuals the opportunity to feedback on the suggested proposals,” said a statement.
