Consti B close the gap at top of Division Two with 5-1 win

A 5-1 win for Consti B in the Spalding and District Snooker League has allowed them to close the gap on Division Two leaders Pyramid D by a point.

They beat clubmates Consti F, thanks to wins from John Christian (R7), Martin Fear (O7), Mick Johnson (O28) and Steve Spencer (R14).
Justyn Stanley (scr) got the better of John Keeton (O7) to give the F team a point.
Pyramid D are holding on to the lead by six points. They beat Services B 4-2.
Their winners were Pete Sharpe-Grose (scr), Josh Agger (O14) and James Sharpe (O49).
Paul Doades (O7) and Alan Hansard (scr) got the wins for Services.
Pyramid A are still in third position thanks to a 4-2 win over Services D.
Victor Rouse (R7) got Pyramid off to a good start, beating Joel Shears (R7), before Alan Day (R7) and Kevin Robbs (R7) took the next two frames for Services.
John Twell (O7) and Dean Cole (O14) then hit back, winning the last two frames and taking the win for Pyramid.
A 5-1 win has seen Holbeach A jump above clubmates Holbeach B into fourth place.
They beat Whittlesey C, thanks to wins from Wayne Dent (O49) (twice), Derek Beba (scr), and Steve Dent (scr).
Simon Parker (O7) got the solitary point for Whittlesey.
Holbeach B lost 4-2 to bottom-placed Gosberton D, causing them to slip to fifth.
James Parrott (scr), Neil Simmons (scr) and Keith Lungley (O14) were the winners for Gosberton, who got their sixth win of the season
Donington A have jumped two places to seventh position, after a 5-1 win over Gosberton A.
Kevin Hawes (O7), Tony Scully (O42), John George (O7) and Jim Thompson (O7) were the victors.
Up in Division One, Donington C are two points clear after a 5-1 win over Consti H.
Neil Reynolds (O63), Mat Turner (O14), Shaun Pickering (R21) and Ben Wrigglesworth (O35) won the first four frames, before Adam Mayman (O21) beat Neil Favell (O7) in the final frame to snatch a point.
Turner knocked in a 52 break on his way to a win over Seb Grimston (O28).
Bourne SC A have moved into second place, following a 5-1 win over bottom-placed Sutton Bridge.
Ian (scr) and Carl Gibson (O28) got Bourne started with the wins, before Oli Player (O35) beat Josh Balding (R7), getting a 28 break along the way.
Wayne Howard (O14) took the fourth frame for Sutton, also knocking in a 28 break, before Pete Hodgson-Kerry (O35) rounded it off with a win over Shane Balding (O49).
Consti G have dropped to third after going down 4-2 to clubmates, fourth-placed Consti E.
James Kingston (O21) got the E team off to a great start, beating Ady Sibley (O35), before Mark Woodberry (O56) got one back for Consti G.
Sean Jeynes (O14) and George Neary-Phillips (O21) took the next two frames and the win for the E team, before Joe Garland (scr) snatched an extra point, beating Martin Ulyatt (O14) in the final frame.
Services A move up to fifth after a 5-1 win over Holbeach E.
Their winners were Vince Fitter (O35), Martin Spencer (O28), Jake Haslam (O21) and Kev Emerson (R7).
Pete Ransome (O28) got the single point for Holbeach.
Clubmates Services C also won 5-1, beating Pyramid C.
Geoff Hemsil (R21) took the first frame for Services, beating Spencer Dawkins (O56) on the black ball.
Shane Cummins (O14), Jordan Philpott (R7) and Nigel Cherry (O7) followed up with wins too.
Holbeach D lost away to Boundary A 4-2.
Daniel Smith (O7), Andy Mowforth (O7) and Steve Smith (R14) were the winners for Boundary.
Holbeach C jumped two places to ninth, thanks to a 4-2 win over Bourne SC B.
Getting the wins for Holbeach were Terry West (R7), father and son Paul (R7) and Dan Ashton (O7).
In Division Three, Holbeach F have extended their lead to five points, after a 4-2 win away to Donington D.
David Lefley (R21) beat Pat Turner (R14) on the black to give Holbeach a good start, before Paul Whyte (R14) got a frame back for Donington.
James Quinton (O7) and Dan Mayfield (O28) won the next two frames to give Holbeach the victory.
Second placed Consti I lost ground after being beaten 4-2 by clubmates Consti J, who have moved up to third.
The I team won the first two frames courtesy of Jonathan Smith (R21) and John Bellerby (scr), before the J team hit back thanks to Jack Howard (R7), Trev Braybrook (R14) and Stewart Davies (O14).
Gosberton C whitewashed Consti C 6-0 with wins from James Elliott (O14), Stuart Henderson (scr), Mark Payne (O14), Rob Lockett (R28) and Stuart Tamplin (R7).
Pyramid E also had a decisive win over Gosberton B, beating them 6-0.
Clubmates Whittlesey B took on Whittlesey A, with the B team coming out on top.
Their winners were John Skutela (scr), Michael Foster (O14) and Andy Skutela (R14).
