Consti A’s winning run reaches 28 across three seasons

Consti A stretched their winning record to 28, stretching across three seasons, as they beat their D team 8-1 in the latest round of Spalding League fixtures.

Ady Smith was the sole winner for the D team and had a 180 in his victory. Shaun Biggs played well and had a 116 checkout in an 18-dart leg and Chris Fidler kept up his good season with a 16-dart leg in his win over Nick Collins.

Rose & Crown A kept pushing for the title by beating Ye Olde Abbey 7-2. In the pairs, Finlay Clayton and Gary Mace had a 14-dart leg, which was helped by Clayton hitting a 180. Another maximum came from Dan Carnell in his victory. Dave Norbury played well for the Abbey and hit five scores of 100 or more in his win.

Drayman’s Arms A beat Rose & Crown C 5-4, with Jake Harris winning the all-important game against Kev Aldhouse to seal the win. Ant Richardson was on form for the Rose & Crown, hitting a 180, a 100 checkout and 15 and 18-dart legs in his win over Richard Cooper, who had a 17-dart leg of his own. Richardson was also in fine form partnering Logan Goddard in the pairs, hitting a 14-dart leg.

Lincoln Arms A fired in an 8-1 victory over Royal Mail Cart. There was some good darts, with Harry Faulkner hitting a maximum, Paul Faulkner firing a 17-dart leg, Josh Ford and Jacob Herd striking an 18-dart leg. The best leg of the night came from veteran Karl Rolfe with a 16-darter.

In Division Two, Consti E beat title rivals Holbeach Services A 6-3. Mike O’Cock fired in a 180 but lost his game to Mick Atkin. Other winners for the E team were Calum Ward, Mark Dixon, and Dan Gent.

Pinchbeck FC B won 6-3 against Holbeach Services B and previously unbeaten Jordan Philpot lost his first game of the season, against Chris O’Leary but had an 18-dart leg.

John Charlton went on last for Lincoln Arms B and won 2-0 against Barry Smith to take the win over Riverside B. Darren Norton was in fine form for the Riverside and had a 14-dart leg in his win over Vlad Fomkinas.

Moulton Harrox and Pinchbeck FC C both won to push on their challenge for the Division Three title.

Harrox beat Riverside C 6-3 and Pinchbeck hammered Drayman’s D 9-0, only dropping two legs. Pinchbeck captain Gary Coomes fired in a maximum in his win.

Martin Wells won the all-important game for Tigers A in their win over Punchbowl. He has played well all year in his first season since returning to the local darts league.

Drayman’s C beat Spalding Services 5-4 by winning the last four singles games, thanks to Jack Lawson, Jason Chilvers, Chris Reynolds, with the all-important win coming from landlord and captain Rick Newton against Services captain Daniel Gregory.
