Community order for man who had knife in town centre and later assaulted police officer

A man who was found to have a knife while in Spalding town centre and also later assaulted a police officer has been given a community order.

Jake Glenn of Alexandra Road in Spalding pleaded guilty to the two charges in a hearing at Lincoln Magistrates Court.

He admitted possessing a lock knife without good reason or lawful authority in Hall Place on July 22.

He also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of assaulting a police officer at Spalding on August 17.

As part of the community order made, Glenn was ordered to have treatment for drug dependency and attend appointments with a responsible officer for a maximum of 20 days.

He was also ordered to pay a £90 victim surcharge and the officer he assaulted £200 compensation.
