Community fun for hospital funds

A fantastic afternoon of fundraising saw more than £1,000 pour in for Holbeach Hospital.

Visitors supported the event organised by the Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital Trust.
It was the first event since 2019 because of the pandemic interruption and organisers Rebecca Atkinson and Mandy Secker were delighted with the response.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped us run the event,” said Rebecca.
Visitors were entertained by Trudie who was singing in the rain; the League of Friends provided refreshments and Linden Secker had his photos of Holbeach on display.
The town’s fire fighters took an engine to the venue to support the fair.
“Thanks you to the wonderful Holbeach community for coming to support us,” added Rebecca.
“The weather wasn’t our friend, but we all carried on regardless and had a wonderful afternoon.”
The Holbeach and East Elloe Hospital care home is in its 34th year and started when the town’s hospital was closed. Run by a trust, it now provides nursing home and re-ablement beds.
