Community ball to celebrate roaring 20s

A new community ball planned for Holbeach will take place in March next year, 100 years after its theme – the roaring 20s.

Organised by parish councillor Isobel Hutchinson and daughter Sophie, the ball at the community centre will raise money to fund projects in the town.

Coun Hutchinson said: “We are both passionate about are town and are already involved in several projects through our involvement with Holbeach Parish Council and know how hard it is to get funding so decided to try and help.

“If the ball is successful we hope to make it an annual event.”

The evening will include a three-course meal and live band.

Tickets cost £40 each, which can be reserved with a £10 deposit per person. Orders before the end of October will get a ten per cent discount. Tables are also available to book for groups of ten people.
