COLUMN: Community Champions – Pumpkin Festival offers something for all

This year’s Pumpkin Festival is set to be better than ever before.

It is being held on Friday, October 9, in Hall Place and Sheep Market in Spalding.

The Pumpkin Festival is a celebration of local horticulture and harvest.

It is a wonderful opportunity to spend quality time with your friends and family and enjoy the abundance that the South Holland district has to offer.

The Pumpkin Festival runs from 11am until 8pm with a whole range of tempting treats and fabulous crafts to enjoy, it will be a great family fun event, with something on offer for all ages.

With everything from face painting, to cookery displays, music, dance and a spectacular firework display at the end of the evening.

There will be a festival market with a mix of stalls from local charities and local producers, with various entertainment throughout the day.

In the evening activities include a fancy dress competition, live music, the Pumpkin Parade and grand finale firework display.

The Spalding Pumpkin Festival is sponsored by David Bowman Pumpkins Ltd and supported by the Rotary Club of Spalding and Welland, Spalding Lions, Crescent Traders and Tulip Radio.
