Colourful station donation hung

Spalding Railway Station has been given a splash of colour in time for summer thanks to the donation of 21 hanging baskets.

Spalding Station Adoption Team member Kevin Mothers said after reading an appeal for plants in The Voice,

David Ball and Richard Priestley from Neame Lea Nursery in Spalding asked if they could help and provided a colourful collection of plants from their retail site in Gosberton.

Retired station master David Bradley returned to his old haunt to help hang them, a job he had done for more than 20 years.

Kevin said the group are now looking for help with the summer bedding plants for the tubs at the front and in the car park.
