Colourful displays at abbey

The annual Crowland Abbey Flower Festival was a success raising a ‘substantial’ amount of money for the church.

This year’s theme was Colours of the Rainbow.

Flower arrangers included members of the Abbey Flower arrangers, the Methodist Chapel, both South View and Community pre-schools, Enya’s Nursery and private individuals.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “The event was well attended despite adverse weather and a substantial amount was raised towards the upkeep of the Abbey.”
