Co-op Award-winning teams celebrate

Staff at three South Holland Co-op businesses have been recognised for their work.

The ceremony was held at Lincolnshire Showground last Wednesday where hundreds of Lincolnshire staff met.

Lincoln City Football Manager Danny Cowley was the guest of honour and the event was hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s Melvyn Prior.

The Spalding travel team took gold in the Travel Branch of the Year category. They were praised for fantastic mystery shopper feedback and high scores for customer satisfaction.

“It’s an amazing feeling to be recognised for our hard work over the year,” said manager Kate Foreman.

Crowland Food Store won the Food Store of the Year gold award with 91 per cent in customer satisfaction scores, the highest of all 82 outlets.

Manager Emma Relton said: “The whole team feels elated. We have been showing the award to our delivery drivers and customers.”

The Post Office of the Year gold award went to Long Sutton’s West Street branch.

“We’ve worked really hard as a team over the past year. Our success is down to working together so we are really proud to have won this award,” said the branch’s Sandra Ashton.
