Clubs pay tribute to stalwart ‘Jacko’

Tributes have been paid to a South Holland footballing stalwart who died at the weekend.
Adam Jackson (34) was a mainstay of the local scene enjoying long spells with both Spalding United and Holbeach United, Bourne Town, Sleaford Town, Wisbech Town, FC Parson Drove, Oakham United and, this season, Skegness Town coming off the bench for the side managed by former Tulips boss Chris Rawlinson two weeks ago in what turned out to be his final appearance.
A number of clubs, plus his former players and managers have paid tribute to the man known as ‘Jacko’.
A spokesman for Spalding United said: “Adam played for the Tulips for several seasons and was a team mate and friend to many associated with the club. Our thoughts and love to his amazing family at this very sad time and we are very proud that he chose to wear our shirt.”
