Club’s donation to air ambulance

The local air ambulance is £220 better off thanks to the Ladies’ Probus Club of Spalding & District.

The club invited the Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance to attend its monthly meeting to receive a donation of £220 collected by members and presented to by club president Jennifer Peacock.
Also invited were members of The Springfield Men’s Probus Club and other guests.
Probus is a small friendly club for women, which meets once a month for conversation and good food. There is generally a speaker on varied subjects throughout the year.
Any like-minded woman who wish to join can contact the secretary Madeleine Grimmitt on 01775 760099.
The club meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 12noon.
A spokesman said: “Anyone interested would be very welcome to come and try us out before deciding to join.”
