Closures on the A17 over the next week

Resurfacing work on the A17 at Fleet Hargate and Long Sutton is to recommence today (Monday, March 12), including night time closures.

Lincolnshire County Council’s Highways team has had to change the planned programme of works due to the recent bad weather.

Work between Hurn Road and Lowgate in Fleet Hargate, which includes the closure of the A17 from 7pm to 6am,  begins today and is due to run until 6am on Thursday, March 15.

On Thursday, work is then due to commence north of Lutton Garnsgate junction to south of Delph Road near Long Sutton and continue until 6am on Sunday, March 24.

Between 6pm and 6am each night the resurfacing work will be conducted using a vehicle convoy. Speed restrictions will be in place.

As part of the Long Sutton works, Delph Road and Lutton Garnsgate will be closed during the working hours.

The signed diversion route for this closure will be either via Garnsgate Road/B1359 or Burlier Gate/St James Road/B1390, depending on where work is taking place each evening.
