Classical music treat thanks to quartet

Piatti quartet

The renowned Piatti String Quartet visit Spalding next week as part of the South Holland Concerts series.

The event takes place at the South Holland Centre on Saturday, November 15, at 7.30pm.

This young ensemble have won many classical music awards, made critically acclaimed recordings and will present a memorable musical experience to Spalding audiences.

The programme will consist of:

Beethoven’s Quartet No3 in D major Opus 18

Ravel’s Quartet in F major

Dvorak’s Quartet No 13 in G major Opus 106.

The quartet consists of Nathaniel Anderson-Frank (first violin), Michael Trainor (second violin), David Wigram (viola) and Jessie Ann Richardson (cello).

Tickets are £13.50 for adults and £12 for concessions, available from the South Holland Centre box office on 01775 76477. Children and students in full time education can attend the concert free of charge.

There are two more concerts planned for this year’s series:

Rosanna Ter-Berg (flute) and Leo Nicholson (piano) on Saturday, January 31

Jessie Ann Richardson (cello) and Simon Callaghan (piano) on Saturday, March 7.

Both concerts will be held at the South Holland Centre.
