Christmas appeal for town food bank items and entertainer

A Holbeach food bank has released a list of items required to get hampers ready for Christmas for those in need.

Hampers made up for people and families in Holbeach and surrounding areas, including Moulton, Whaplode and Weston, are produced each year by Holbeach Community Larder and Cafe Food Bank and cafe.

Organisers have requested the following items are dropped off at The Reading Rooms on Friday, 9am-1pm, Royals Gym at Fleet Street, or at the Fun Farm, Weston, which is open seven days a week:
Tinned ham / spam / corned beef, tinned meat pies, tinned vegetables, Christmas sauces, stuffing, crisps / nuts / savoury snacks, Christmas cake, chocolate logs / cake bars, mince pie, selection boxes, tins of biscuits, boxes of chocolate, packets of children’s sweets, Christmas puddings, pickles / jams, squash, UHT milk and toiletries.

Donations need to be received before December 9.

They are also appealing for an act to entertain guests during the Christmas lunch, for around half an hour at 12.30pm.

If you can help, speak to Rev Canon Rosamund Seal, 01406 424989.
