Check around your homes plea in search for missing Valerie

Spalding residents are being urged to check their outside properties as the search for a missing lady continues into a second day.

Valerie Bycraft (77), who has dementia, was reported missing yesterday morning after last being seen at 6.45pm on Sunday.

Lincolnshire Police says they’re “very concerned about her safety”.

It’s been reported in social media posts online she lived in the Thames Road area.

Today (Tuesday) Lincolnshire Police have released a statement to ask Spalding residents to check outbuildings and garages.

Spalding Inspector Dave Penney said: “We believe Valerie is in the Spalding area. We are asking residents in Spalding to please check their gardens and outbuildings, any fields that surround their properties, alleyways and any open spaces.

“We have had many offers of help to search for Valerie and we are very thankful for these offers. If people do want to assist us in locating Valerie, please check the outside of your homes.”
