Charity worker has tyres knifed

A Holbeach woman who has dedicated her life to helping Ukrainians in need since the country was invaded by Russia, is worried she’s now being targeted.

Mandy Baxter, who launched the charity Boxes of Hope last year, says she was left ‘shook up’ after someone used a knife to cut the tyres on her car while it was parked overnight Friday.
She had driven home in a van to pick up more donations to send where they are needed in Ukraine.
On returning at 9.43am the next morning, she found all four tyres had been sliced open.
“It feels like I’ve been targeted,” said Mandy “Police say no other cars at all were knifed in Holbeach that night and neighbours said they’d not heard of it happening in that private car park before.”
“Police say all four tyres were done with a knife.
“It did shake me up and frighten me for a bit, but that’s what bullies want.
“They can do what they want, I won’t stop helping those in need.
“There’s some horrible people around, but you don’t expect someone to do it for a charity that everyone is volunteering to help.”
A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police told The Voice that enquiries were ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to ring 101 quoting incident 95 of June 3.
