Charity the big winners at quiz

After a charity quiz night, Spalding accountancy firm Moore Thompson has presented Lincolnshire Autistic Society with more than £900.

Moore Thompson hosted its annual Charity Fund’s quiz night in memory of Jenny Nicolson – a much-loved former tax manager at Moore Thompson’s Spalding office who passed away in 2016.

Jenny was a supporter and the treasurer of Lincolnshire Autistic Society, which is dedicated to building awareness and understanding of autism spectrum disorders, and the firm felt that it was right that the cause should benefit from its fundraising.

Janet Corcoran, secretary of Lincolnshire Autistic Society, collected the cheque. She said: “We are most grateful for the very generous donation raised by the quiz night, which was also a tribute to Jenny who was our treasurer for many years, a huge supporter and friend.

“The Lincolnshire Autistic Society continues to work throughout the county to support parents and professionals working on a daily basis with autistic children and adults.”

The event also featured a raffle, which included a number of prizes donated by local organisations and businesses.
