Charity fashion show raises £969

More than 165 people turned up to support a Weight Watchers group’s charity fashion show.

The event, organised by Weight Watchers group leader Helen Webster, also featured a healthy cooking demonstration upstairs at Spalding’s Beales department store, live entertainment from the Two of Us, local businesses pampering guests with mini manicures and other beauty treatments, a raffle and instore competitions.

Helen said: “My amazing 17 models (all Weight Watchers members) did us very proud. Kim and Lara, from Gregory’s Girl, and Jo and her team from Essential Wellbeing made our models hair and make up look fab!

“We raised £969 on ticket sales and raffle tickets. The money is to be split between Diabetes UK and the Air Ambulance.

“Beales and their staff did everyone proud on the night.

“The night was themed around Christmas Sparkle and everybody did sparkle.”
