Charity bash is still going ahead at Gedney Hill Golf Club next week

The current pandemic is not going to get in the way of an annual charity golf competition that’s returning next week.

Gedney Hill Golf Club’s annual fundraiser for St Barnabas Hospice was postponed earlier in the year.

But it’s instead taking place at 8am on Thursday, September 18 and they’re inviting ladies and gents to enter.

It’s usually a team competition, but this year, to ensure safe distancing, it will instead be utilising a stableford format.

It will be the 11th year that Terry Grantham has put on the fundraiser at Gedney Hill.

He said: “It was something we wanted to still do if we could and we’re running it under strict rules to keep it safe from COVID-19.”

Entry is £10 for Gedney Hill members and £20 for anyone else who wishes to play. The price includes a bacon bap.
