Chappell storms home

Fourteen riders took on the Spalding Cycling club time trial on Tuesday evening.

It was the last chance until the end of the season for the riders to test themselves over the five-mile course, with next week kicking off the ten-mile league.

It was another strong performance from Matt Chappell, storming home in a time of 10:51 beating his time from the previous week.

It was extremely tight for second spot though, with Dan Warner coming out on top beating last week’s runner up Nigel Swepson by just four seconds.

Dom Brand again showed strongly, taking home the road bike win, with a 11:42 but all eyes will be on when he returns to his TT bike to try and take on in-form Chappell.

Tom Wright was runner up on the road bikes leading home his dad Simon in third.

Evgeniya Brand again flew around the five-mile course taking home the women’s win ahead of Samantha Briffett in second who continues to chip away at the deficit from Brand.
