Chance to watch Spalding U18s girls

Spalding United’s under 18s girls’ team are in action on Saturday at the Sir Halley Stewart Playing Field.

The team’s penultimate home match will see them take on Stamford in a 9.30am kick off.

The match is free to watch and the team is going from strength to strength offering an excellent standard of football.

Formed this season by coaches Conrad Quinn and Steve Forsyth, they are in the County Cup final against Newmarket on March 25 and are also top of the Cambridgeshire league with only a few games to play.

Aged 15-17 years old, many of the girls attend local Spalding schools and also train together at Peterborough POSH Academy.

The U18 girls’ team offers a great pathway into the newly formed Spalding United Women’s team.
