The South Holland Centre is to hold an open day as it relaunches itself as a venue for occasions with help from The Red Lion pub in Spalding.
The pub is taking over the bar at the town’s district council-run venue which is looking to again be hired out for a host of events, including parties.
The open day takes place from 11am to 2pm on Sunday, January 18.
Prospective hirers can get a taste of what the venue offers and local suppliers including DJs, photographers and cake decorators have been invited.
A South Holland District Council spokesman said: “The hall will be available for hire with a high level of flexibility to be tailored to suit the hirer’s need and budget.
“From caterers to décor, all decisions can now be put in the hands of the organisers, with the in-house bar service continuing to be provided alongside the hall hire by the team at the Red Lion.”
Coun Henry Bingham, South Holland District Council portfolio holder for assets and strategic planning, said: “The function hall event will showcase this space for weddings and special occasions. It’s important to provide high-quality options for residents, and I’m pleased the South Holland Centre can offer flexibility for hirers while supporting local businesses.”
Kirsty Berry, general manager at The Red Lion, said: “We believe every event should reflect your individual style.
“Whether you’re planning an anniversary dinner, a vibrant birthday bash, a bespoke wedding reception or a corporate social event, our dedicated team is here to facilitate your perfect day.
“We look forward the centre reaching its full potential and seeing all the plans come to fruition.”
