Strong winds left trees and graves broken in Spalding Cemetery on Sunday.
During Storm Ciara, two trees came down, one breaking gravestones.
The day before, Friends of Spalding Cemetery held its first informal meeting.
Heritage Champion, Coun Elizabeth Sneath, said around 50 people attended throughout the day. “Many enjoyed the walk led by Keith Seaton focussing on the mariners graves of the men who sailed from Spalding and lost their lives on the sea.
“Peter Moore, who managed the cemetery for many years passed on lots of stories and anecdotes of times past. The weather was perfect for roaming the site which looked beautiful with the drifts of snowdrops and spring bulbs under the trees.
“We hope to build on the interest shown and raise awareness of this heritage gem.”
