Military Fireworks Spectacular
Springfields Outlet Shopping, Spalding
Tomorrow (Thursday, November 6)
Gates 6pm, fireworks 8pm.

As the nation marks 100 years on from the start of the First World War the organisers of the annual Springfields firework display have a special treat for visitors.

The focus for this year’s display is to commemorate our servicemen and servicewomen from World War One and World War Two with the display featuring lights and fireworks set to iconic military themed music.

In what promises to be an emotive finale, the local branch of the Royal British Legion are providing a cornet player to play the Last Post, while standard bearers, will lower their standards as a mark of respect.

Tracy Thomas, from Springfields, said: “This will be a very special evening. Not only are we hosting our largest ever display, but in such a significant year it seemed only right that we do our bit to show our appreciation for the people who gave so much for us during the two world wars.”

The event will be supporting the Royal British Legion with its annual Poppy Appeal. Advance tickets are £5 for adults and £3 for under 16s. Tickets on the night are £8 for adults and £5 under 16s. For more information visit www.springfieldsshopping.com
