Celebrating the Merchant Navy

A party of veterans travelled to London to mark Merchant Navy Association Day.

Accompanied by Coun Jan Whitbourn, vice chairman of South Holland District Council, the group went to Tower Hill for the event
Coun Whitbourn said: “It was so beautiful in the open air, it was wonderful.
Three of our veterans helped to organise the event and I was asked to attend to lay a wreath for the district council.”
