Families are invited to celebrate the Queen’s birthday by enjoying a picnic and Royal-themed fun and games at Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Gardens.
The historic Spalding venue is hosting a special event on Saturday from 11am-2pm to tie in with celebrations taking place across the UK.
Families are invited to bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens and take part in Royal-themed arts and crafts, face painting and garden games. There will also be Royal commemoratives on display, all from the Ayscoughfee Hall collection.
Coun Gary Taylor, South Holland District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Community, said: “This promises to be a fantastic occasion for people of all ages.
“We recently held a civic beacon-lighting event at Ayscoughfee to mark Her Majesty’s 90th birthday.
“We now look forward to double the celebration for the Queen’s official birthday and invite residents to join in the fun.”
Organisers are also keen to hear your stories of Royal celebrations in South Holland from years gone by. To share your story contact Ayscoughfee Hall on 01775 764555, email [email protected] or speak to staff at the venue.
