CCTV appeal after assault and theft at Spalding supermarket

spalding-cctvPolice  have issued a CCTV image of a woman who they want to trace following an assault and theft at a Spalding supermarket.

The woman is alleged to have left Sainsbury’s with a basket of high value items and assaulted a member of security staff by closing a door on his arm.

The incident happened at about 7.15pm on Tuesday, March 22.

The suspect matches the description of a woman who is also alleged to have stolen goods from Morrisons in Pinchbeck and Sainsbury’s in Peterborough the same day.

The female suspect is described as white, aged around 45 years of age, short dark hair, skinny build and wearing a small body warmer type top with a fur lined hood. She spoke good English but with a foreign accent.

She left the area as a passenger in a five-door silver saloon car, possibly a Ford Mondeo, which had a rear tail light out.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Paul Cooper at Spalding Police Station by dialling 101 and quoting the incident number.
