Casting call for new South Holland rom-com

Aspiring actors and actresses will have a chance to audition next month for a new movie being shot around South Holland.

Following on from the success of the Dishonoured action film, which premiered at Spalding’s South Holland Centre in January, Holbeach Film Company is now pressing ahead with its latest project – a romantic comedy with the working title Forever Your Rose.
It tells the story of Jack Green, a mulit-millionaire with everything except someone special in his life.
In his quest for love he takes relationship advice from his closest friend Rose and “LJ” his sponging house mate – leading to some hilarious moments.
The lead role will again be filled by Holbeach Film Company’s Steph Genovese, who has written the film and since Dishonoured premiered has reprised his role of Jurgen in Sky’s Fortitude series 2.
He will be joined as producer by Natalie Mills, who will take the lead female role of Rose Garner.
But the film’s other roles are all up for grabs and auditions will be held at the Women’s Institute Hall, Park Road, Holbeach on April 16.
A list of parts are available on the film’s Facebook page – search for Forever Your Rose – along with the audition dialogues that potential cast members will need to learn.
Steph said: “The script for Forever Your Rose is now completed and Natalie has already secured some great locations for us to film as we move on to casting.
“Casting aside, we are also looking to add to our crew, and are looking for sound and boom operators, script supervisors, continuity, grips, assistant camera-persons, PA’s and runners and would welcome anyone with a passion for movies to get in touch.”
Investors are also being sought to help meet the costs of making the film, and Steph is also appealing fo suggestions on filming locations such as mansions, nightclubs, pubs and apartments.
He added: “We are also looking for luxurious and prestigious cars to feature in the movie, and even a jet plane, to highlight the main characters wealth.”
Filming could start as early as May.
