Caress hits Norfolk top-four

Peterborough & Nene Valley AC runner Ryan Anderson was first home in Saturday’s Snowden Field Parkrun in Crowland.
He finished in 20 minutes 40 seconds to lead 56 other runners, joggers and walkers over the line.
Simon Eldridge was the sole Halmer Harrier listed, finishing his 99th Parkrun in 48th place in 42:32.
Elsewhere, Halmer’s Adam Caress finished fourth male at the Holkham Parkrun in North Norfolk, 20:10, while Richard Williams clocked 23:57 for 50th place in the Penrhyn Parkrun in North Wales.
Janet Strickland and Deborah Preston made the short journey west to Ferry Meadows and completed the course in 305th and 325th place respectively, 29:41 and 30:17.
Another pair of runners from the Spalding-based club took on the weekly 5K challenge at Soham Village College. Kathryn Chapman was 62nd, 36:47, with Jayne Pell taking 70th place, 40:34.
There will be no Parkrun at Snowden Field on July 6 due to the venue being unavailable.
At the Summer Solstice 10K at Long Bennington last Friday, Halmer Harriers’ Sian Brown finished 229th in 55:05, 17th in the F45-54 division and 49th female overall. Clubmate Lisa Gill was just behind in 55:28 for 234th place, 20th in the same division and 52nd woman.
Andrew Hooker came 365th, 1:03:42, 68th M50-59, and Jayne Pell was 448th, 1:16:55, 33rd F55-64.
