Career-best qualifying show from teen talent Pulling at Snetterton

Teenage Gosberton driver Abbi Pulling broke new ground as she contested the sixth round of the Ginetta GT5 Challenge at Snetterton over the weekend.

She continued her strong run of form in one of the most challenging one make race series in the UK and, despite being the youngest on the grid, the 16-year-old qualified in a career best seventh place.

Race one saw a great start, with Pulling sitting in eighth place, until an incident meant red flags and a race stoppage.

From the restart she battled against an overheating engine and finished in 11th position.

A poor start in race two hampered her, then an on-track incident dropped her to the back of the field. Never giving up, Pulling fought her way back up to 16th place.

The final races of the series are at Donington Park on September 14.
