Car show revs up the summer

Holbeach’s first Classic and Modified Car Show proved to be a sizzling success.

In beautifully sunny conditions hundreds turned out after organisers were inundated with requests to display their vehicles.

Alongside them was live entertainment from the McCurdy brothers, a strong man display from Royals Gym and a host of food and drink options.

The show was organised by Coun Isobel Hutchinson and the events committee of Holbeach Parish Council.

Council chair Stephen Johnson said: “I am overwhelmed with positive feedback from our first parish council event.

“The hard work and effort from our events committee have stuck a cord and paved the way for a great standard of engagement with our parishioners.

“It’s a great start for us to build on and grow and provide future events bigger and better for all to enjoy.”
