Cadets can reach for the sky

If you know a young person who is reaching for the sky, Holbeach Air Cadets has just the thing.

The 2430 Royal Air Force Cadets will be holding a recruitment event later this month.

The squadron was founded in 1964 and is looking for new people to join.

It meets at the Squardron HQ, Fairfield, Church Street and the open evening is on October 24 from 7.30pm.

Members can be aged from 12 to 17 and there are a range of activities on offer for members.

The cadets offer the chance for camping, including overseas, gliding, rock climbing and sailing.

Flying experiences are par for the course and members can be awarded cadet wings and recommended for training for a Private Pilot’s Licence.
