Businesses appeal for children’s ward Christmas gifts

Two local businesses have come together to help provide some festive cheer for unwell youngsters.

Swinton Insurance Brokers and Delivery Driver Service UK are collecting gifts to deliver to the Children’s Ward at Boston’s Pilgrim Hospital this Christmas.

Anyone with spare toys or gifts can take them in to Swinton’s New Road premises in Spalding.

Dominic Calitri of Delivery Driver Service UK is also offering to collect donations and can be contacted on 07513 251285.

He said: “We’ve had a really positive reaction from the public. We just thought the Pilgrim Hospital would be a worthy cause to get behind.”

Swinton Insurance’s Spalding Branch Manager Vinny Price said: “We wanted to do something different this year and we’ve all got children ourselves so we know this cause is important.

“You don’t want anybody spending Christmas in hospital so we thought we’d provide them with a bit of cheer.”
