Burst water main leaves part of Spalding, including town’s tip, without water.

A burst water main is causing problems around West Marsh Road in Spalding this morning (Friday, April 22).

Anglian Water say customers in the area are experiencing low water pressure.

They include Spalding’s tip which has had to close for the day as a result, operator Lincolnshire County Council said.

A spokesman for Anglian Water said: “We’re really sorry but some customers in West Marsh Road, Spalding, may have low water pressure or no water at all.

“We’ve identified a burst water main in your area that we’re working working hard to get fixed so that we can get your supply back to normal as soon as possible.

“Supplies should be restored by midday today.”

The latest is here.

A Lincolnshire County Council spokesman said: “#Spalding tip can’t open this morning due to an issue with the water connection. Anglian Water aware but unable to give an estimated time for repair. We will open the site as soon as we can once the water is back on!”
