Bull and Monkie site: Councillors resolve to recover £20,000 clean-up costs

Councillors have resolved to use whatever means they can to recover £20,000 invested in cleaning up the Bull and Monkie site in Spalding.

South Holland District Council’s cabinet discussed the issue in private on Tuesday (May 9).

After the meeting, Coun Roger Gambba-Jones said: “Fellow cabinet members endorsed our proposal to continue to pursue the recovery of monies that have been laid out so far to deal with this site by using whatever means we can.
“I have no doubt we will see progress about the recovery of funds. We will put the tightest possible time scale on that the law permits.”

The council can force the sale of the site but that  does not necessarily mean it will be redeveloped.
