A busy bridge between Norfolk and Lincolnshire will be closed overnight for four nights to enable essential maintenance.
The Cross Keys bridge at Sutton Bridge needs work on each of its four hydraulic jacks.
They have been identified as faulty, says Lincolnshire County Council.
“Expert teams will be carrying out four separate maintenance schemes which will involve a night time closure of the bridge for one at a time,” said Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways.
“The crew will be removing and servicing each hydraulic jack which are used in moving the bridge.”
Each jack will be replaced with one that has been serviced and re-sealed.
“The work is being carried out using single night closures to minimise disruption on the highway network.
The bridge is due to close from 7pm to 6am on: today (June 5), Thursday, August 28; either Monday, September 29 or Monday, October 13 and either Monday, November 10 or Monday, November 24.
