Bream galore in top Tydd Gote Angling Club tussle between Dixon and Claridge

There was a titanic tussle between Mick Dixon and Nigel Claridge at Tydd Gote Angling Club’s match on the North Level at Main Road on Sunday.

It was a real fish for fish battle between Dixon and Claridge on pegs 31 and 32, with the bream showing in high numbers.

Fishing from pegs 31 and 32, the pair got stuck into the bream from the off.

In the end it was Dixon who edged to victory with 51lb 05oz, with Claridge managing 42lb 13oz for second.

The in-form Andrew Kilby also tempted his usual bream or two, finding four this week from peg 28 and some bits to end up with 19lb 11oz for third place.

At the other end of the match length on end peg 13, John Taylor found a couple of bream, some skimmers and roach for 17lb 11oz and fourth place.
