Man arrested after incident on Spalding bridge

A 28-year-old man has been arrested on drug offences after police were called to a male seen on a bridge over the River Welland in Spalding this morning.

Lincolnshire Police were called shortly after 8am this morning following concerns for a man’s safety on the disused rail bridge between London Road and Cowbit Road today (Thursday, October 3).

He remained there until around 10.30am this morning.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman, said: “A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.”
