Holbeach United sack manager Darren Jarvis

Manager Darren Jarvis was sensationally sacked as Holbeach United manager on Wednesday night.

Jarvis had steered the Tigers to second in the ChromaSport UCL Premier Division and the last eight of the Knockout Cup this season, but was still axed after a committee meeting.

It is understood that Jarvis was given the chance to meet with chairman Dave Dougill before the meeting, but declined.

A senior member of  the Holbeach committee confirmed the sacking, saying that the reasons for his exit will be revealed in an official statement at a later date.

The committee member added that Tom Roberts and Andrew Tidswell will take temporary charge of the Tigers before any decision is made on the long-term successor.

Jarvis, who was also sacked from his last role as Peterborough Northern Star boss, confirmed his exit via social networking site Twitter.

His last game as Tigers chief was a 3-1 win at Deeping Rangers on Tuesday night – a victory that moved his side seven points off top spot with a game in hand.
