Cash taken during robbery at Spalding betting shop

Cash was stolen during a robbery at a Spalding town centre bookmaker’s shop this morning (Thursday).

Police said a man got away with “a quantity of cash” in the incident just before 10am.

A Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “The suspect is described as a white man, aged 20-25, with short hair, facial stubble, and a light moustache.

“He was wearing jeans with long pockets at the front, a blue/grey hoody with thick hood strings and a motif on the neck area, and blue trainers with white laces.”

A spokesman for Ladbrokes, which has another Spalding shop in Sheep Market, said: “We can confirm an incident took place this morning in our Hall Place shop in Spalding. We are assisting police with their enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 82 of April 28.
