Bourne take derby glory

There was no match for Spalding first team but the seconds were in a top-of-the-table local derby action at Bourne.
However, it was the hosts who romped clear at the top of the Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire & Derbyshire RFU Merit Two East table with a 45-7 success to end the visitors’ winning start to the season.
Spalding Veterans’ home meeting against Thorney was called off.
The first team return to action this Saturday with a home match against neighbours Stamford, while the Seconds are also at home, welcoming Boston Development.
