BOS has Big Fish to fry

Boston Musical Theatre Group (BOS) returns to the Blackfriars stage with a brand new production.

The story of Big Fish will be familiar to anyone who has read the 1998 novel by Danny Wallace, or seen the 2003 film starring Ewan McGregor and Danny Devito.
The musical version had a successful run on Broadway, followed by its West End premiere in 2017 – and now, it comes to Boston.
A spokesman said: “Anyone who has seen any of their award-winning performances over the last few years will know that this is one not to be missed.
Big Fish is a magical tale about a son’s desire to connect with his father as he discovers that he is soon to become a father himself.
“The musical is a light-hearted exploration of the love and frustrations that exist between parents and children, as the son begins to investigate all of the tall stories his father has told throughout his life.
“Brought to you by the production team who produced My Fair Lady in April 2023, you can be sure that this show includes some simply wonderful music brought to life with incredible choreography.
“You can be guaranteed a night that will surprise you, have your toe tapping and fill you with joy and hope in equal measure.”
Big Fish opened on Wednesday, April 17 and runs until April 20.
Shows are at 7.30pm each evening, with a matinee at 2.30pm on Sunday.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.blackfriarstheatreandartcentre.co.uk or directly at the box office in person or by telephone on 01205 363108.
