Bookmark appearance for authors behind shocking true story of Spalding’s Joe Holliday

The authors behind a book that has attracted international media coverage are to appear at Bookmark in Spalding.

She’s A Boy is the true story of Spalding’s Joe Holliday (27), who was born a boy but raised a girl. The book was written by journalist Louise Chapman, who also lives in the town.

She said: “There has been such a supportive and encouraging reaction to the book and Joe from people in Spalding and far beyond.
“Bookmark has invited Joe and I in to give people the chance to see how Joe is getting along now, hear a little about the whirlwind of the last few weeks since the book was released and ask any questions.”

She’s A Boy, extracts of which appeared in the Daily Mail, has attracted five-star reader reviews.
Since its release last month, the book and Joe have featured on ITV’s This Morning, in Best magazine, Vanity Fair Italy and on BBC radio.

Joe and Louise will be at Bookmark at 7.15pm on Wednesday, October 14. Tickets, including a glass of wine or juice, cost £3.50.

She’s A Boy, published by Thistle Publishing, will soon be available to buy in Bookmark and can be ordered in store now for collection on the night (order by September 25 to guarantee availability).
